It is a good point that there are perks (and also a bit of add-ons) that also affect key/instakill mechanics. The only exception is Myers and we don't know for how long. This was nerfed multiple times since these mechanics were seens as too OP and too toxic, but I think the last nerf simply went too far and should be reverted. Idk how long you play the game, but the original state of things was hatch could be used from the game start (with a key) and moris could be used anytime (on a dying survivor). These 2 OP mechanics were always kept at the same level, meaning if one got nerfed, the other one did as well. Originally posted by bleak (5/2):Keys for survivors are what moris are for killers, that's the general consensus and something I guess we agree on. Rancor gives notification after each gen completed and it can be used only in late game. HEX: Devour Hope can be cleansed at the start of the game before you get 5 stacks and it gives away notification to survivors at 3 stacks.
They had to make a decision to go look for a totem, it's wasn't guaranteed and required survivors to do more than just holding M1 on gen while talking to their twitch chat etc. I remember when there weren't any notifications that killer have exposed perks and survivors had to pay attention to status HUD if someone went down straight from "healthy" state. But even they give away hints that you have it. Killers, on the other hand, can get mories from other source, like perks. You either see someone having a key (which is unlikely since key users usually avoid gens) or you see them stop doing gens (which is a massive time wasted on patroling while survivors spend this time looking for a hatch). And yes, killer won't know if survivors did looted key. You missing the fact that keys can be obtained from chests, like it's guranteed if you have Plunderer's. I used Whispers on every killer just because i hate hatch mechanic. I also remember how hatch wouldn't spawn if killer managed to not let survivors repair two gens. I play this game since beta and i remember all the infinites, double pallets at each loop, pallet vacuum, insta fast vaults, vault vacuum etc. Also I don't see the logic behind not showing mori at game start when killer can see the keys in the game lobby. Your proposition on the other hand is "if you revert the last nerf to hatch, then revert mori to the very original super OP state + buff it even more by not showing it". Keys for survivors are what moris are for killers, that's the general consensus and something I guess we agree on. If you want to have cheap mechanic back in the game you do the same for other side. Because your suggestion doesn't makes sense too. Originally posted by IIpocTo urpok:Give me these reasons. Your proposition on the other hand makes no sense at all for multiple reasons.
